Near the town of Baraga, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Prickett Lake is an 810 acre reservoir. I was camped at the Sturgeon River Gorge Wilderness, and woke up early to get here by sunrise. It was a cold, late September morning, and a mist was rising from the water as the sun rose. Along with the glorious fall colors, it made for a perfect photographic opportunity. This photo won the B & H Photo fall color photography contest in 2012.
